Happy 4th of July!

Hello readers, I don’t know about you, but sometimes I have to forget about life and lose myself in a good book. This weekend was full of reading, family, fireworks, and fun!

I don’t recommend books often because I only recommend them when they are soooo stinkin’ good that I can’t put them down. I definitely recommend these two books. I give them both 5 stars. TWO thumbs up. You. Will. Love. Them. They are called The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I can’t even begin to tell you what they are about.

These two books have not only gotten my attention, but my husband is almost done already. To give you a little more information pertaining to the significance of that…this is the first book I have ever convinced him to read. He actually picked it up and couldn’t put it down.

I hope you all had a Happy 4th of July weekend, and had a lot of family, fun, and food like me.

If you are looking for a good book. Go and get these two now…not later. You won’t regret it!

AND the good news is that there is a third book in the series coming out soon! I. can’t. wait.

  1. Oh those really are so good! I read them last year, and am waiting to get them from the library again before the next one comes out! I've been dying to see it since I read the last one.

  2. I totally agree with you, these are my FAVORITE BOOKS EVER!!!! And I hate to read. I've already got the 3rd book pre-ordered from Amazon. I've recommended it to my entire family and they have all loved them.

  3. And there is a movie in the works for next year! Suzanne Collins herself is writing the screen play, so it should be really good!

  4. The third comes out August 24!

Another great suggestion, especially for those who love YA literature is Ship Breaker by Paloa Bacigalupi.

  5. I have this on hold at the local library– I just need to go down & pick it up. I can't wait to read it!!!

  6. So interesting that adults are loving this series written for junior readers. My librarian friend recommended it. And agree with you, it's great.

  7. I've heard many great reviews about these books! I am fix'n on reading them here shortly! I am so excited!
I do have a series to recommend! It is the Percy Jackson and the Olympians. They are full of action and hilarious-ness! I can't get enough of them! It has also helped me understand Greek Mythology!

  8. Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the book recommendation. I first heard about the books here! I just finished the Hunger Games and loved it! Had my hubs stop at the bookstore to pick up Catching Fire on his way home. Can't wait to start that one!
