Chase’s Cancer Update

Chase Prince was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (a.k.a. ALL) in July 2010. Little Chaser is one of my buddies. His cute family lives less than a block away from me. I have posted about this amazing family several times here at All Things Thrifty. If you have missed their story, you HAVE to read about it. I just watched Chase’s one year of fighting cancer video. I sit here with tears in my eyes. I love this little boy so much. I love his Mom and Dad, and I can’t help but spread the word about how great he is doing in his Cancer treatments. I know that some of my readers have supported Chase over the last year, and I am so grateful.

Chase’s family is walking this Saturday July 9th at the 2011 Salt Lake City CureSearch Walk. The slogan for CureSearch is “Conquering Children’s Cancer Together.” It is a great cause, and Team Chase has raised over $4,000 to the search for the cure.  Their goal is to raise $5,000.

No donation is too small. I can’t believe that it has been a year ago since Chase was diagnosed.  The last year has whipped by. If you are interested in donating to this amazing cause, please go to TEAM CHASE and donate on Chase’s behalf.

Here is a little note from Team Chase:
We are so excited that CureSearch is holding their 1st annual 5k walk in Utah this year. We LOVE CureSearch and our family supports them in their effects 100%. Our government is failing our children when it comes to funding childhood cancer research and CureSearch has stepped in to help fill the void.
I have pledged to walk this 5k with my family and friends and I am hoping you will join us at the race and in raising money for this devastating disease.
We will be participating in the CureSearch for Children’s Cancer in Salt Lake City, UT to take place on July 9, 2011. The money we raise will fund and support collaborative research to find a cure for all cancers affecting children. I need your support, so please join my team, register as an individual or make a donation to CureSearch for Children’s Cancer on CHASE’S behalf. Together, we will Reach the Day when every child with cancer is guaranteed a cure.
Thank you so much.

  1. Oh my gosh Brooke. I am sitting here, drowning in my tears… literally sobbing! He is the same age as my Stockton and they LOVE all the same toys, ride the same scooter, have the same clothes… you name it! I don't know this little boy but I can't imagine the courage that he must have, as well as his cute family! We will be donating. Thanks for posting for a great cause! 🙂

  2. Amazing video. Thanks for posting. I am praying for Chase and his family, they seem to be amazingly strong. God Bless Chase and all children fighting the cancer battle. Thank God for Kids 🙂

  3. Hi,
Just found your site. There's great stuff on here. But my first comment had to be this one, because it's something I feel strongly about too. "Our government is failing our children when it comes to funding childhood cancer research" is so true. My mom had cancer, and did the traditional chemo/radiation route. A few years later, I started learning about natural/complementary therapies. A lot of them have great science behind them, and have worked wonders. My mom asked why she never heard any of this. Unfortunately, cancer is big business. I know of studies that were done with oils and taken to a local cancer hospital, and they said thanks, but no thanks. Wouldn't even look at them. luckily, a little education goes a long way. Ask any holistic doctor, and they can share several things that may work. They don't all work for all people, but heck neither do drugs.
