Sprucing up the guest room with Better Homes and Gardens.

If you have read my blog for a little while, you know that having a guest room is VERY important to me. We live in St. George, Utah where visitors are common, and I love having a place for them to sleep. I am a firm believer that if you have a bed for people to sleep in, the visitors will come.

After I had the guest room dilemma, I decided that installing a wall bed was the perfect compromise. It has worked perfectly. Creed (the baby) is now 8 months old. The wall bed has been slept in about every other weekend since it was installed. When we have guests in town, we put Creed in a port-a-crib in our room so our guests have a space.

I try hard to help guests feel at home when they come to visit. I hope they feel welcome. With the help of Better Homes and Gardens, I was able to change the bedding in the guest room to be more inviting, comfy, and stylish.

This is what the guest room looked like before:

The bedding was quite boring.

Now the room looks like this:

The bedding is very soft, and it makes the room feel polished and inviting. I love the warm light and charcoal gray colors.

The bedding can be found at Walmart, and more specifically, the bedding is called Better Homes and Gardens Fleur De Lis Bedding Comforter Set.

  1. I "liked" BHG on facebook… and I like your blog! what a cool bed, by the way. i've always kind of wished i had one of those [: i also love the owl pillow in the chair in the corner. is that also from Walmart?

  2. We just moved from NY to Guam for military orders. Our walls are cream and boring! I would love to spruce up all of our bedrooms with color, fabric and life. We don't have a local WalMart here, so I would have to shop online. All our rooms are small as we live in Navy Housing and can't paint, but I want to add color and texture with bold accents and art! Thank you in advance for this opportunity!

  3. I like BHG on Facebook! And ATT! Too bad I don't get an extra entry for that šŸ˜‰

  4. Not only do I have a subscription to BHG but I also love shopping at Walmart.

The facebook page has been "liked" and now I'm good and ready to go!

I love thrifting too! I have a bunch of stuff to use I just need to hop to it!
