Huge Calendar for those of us who keep missing appointments {surprise giveaway from my Sis}

Do you forget your appointments? I do. It is pretty embarrassing. To make it worse, I have an ugly calendar. I made it about three years ago to try and keep our lives in order. Since I’m a visual person, I need visual reminders about events. I need to SEE what is happening each week. So, as long as I write stuff on my calendar, I do pretty well. So, my calendar was doing its job just fine.
Well my sister Adrian has a CUTE calendar, and I got to visit her a week or so ago, and I got to see this cute calendar in person. It made my ugly calendar look even uglier. So, she decided to give me one of her calendars. She rocks like that.

After I saw Ad’s calendar I knew it was time to retire mine. I bought an old frame at the local consignment store to fit one of her big calendar designs.

I chose the Allyssa Calendar from her Etsy shop {ADbugDesign}. Alyssa Calendar {ADbugDesign}We stuck it in our newly repainted frame. It looks sooo much better than the ugly Ulrich Family calendar that has adorned my walls for three years. cute calendar design She gave me a tip that is sooo smart. She said to use the “wet” erase markers instead of the “dry” ones. It totally makes sense because Creedy is obsessed with wiping off my events. So, this way he can’t wipe them off. 🙂 Simple yet BRILLIANT!wet erase 001 You have to admit it is much better than the old, ugly one. Calendar  I love the spots for the menu, the to do list, and the to buy list. allyssa calendar adbug design
After I put mine in it’s frame I convinced my sister that she needed to give some of these bad boys away. She has some amazing designs and in order to win one of these amazing digital calendars all you need to do it check out her amazing etsy shop and come back and comment on which one is your favorite.
She has agreed to give away 5 designs! She also decided to give 20% off to all of my readers with the code “thrifty” too.
She did all of this because she loves me rocks.
Go visit her shop and see her cute stuff!

  1. WOW I NEED THIS!! I can't decide if I like the color scheme of the June 20×30 or the Alyssa 20×30. They are both great!

  2. What a great idea – this means I won't have to hide my calendar in the closet anymore!!!

I'm in love with the Alyssa full calendar – would go great in our kitchen!

    Thanks for the great tips!
    *fingers crossed for the win!!*

  3. These are awesome! I'd pick the Polly 20×30. It would look perfect in my kitchen and I, too, love the spots for menu & to do lists. Thanks!

  4. Can't decide which I like best – the Alyssa or the Lorraine Command Center. Best of luck to Adrian with her new(ish) Etsy shop. Her designs are adorbs!

  5. I seriously NEED one of these! I have the worst organization skills known to human kind, no joke. My fav is the Lorraine Calendar 20×30. Its so colorful, my 5 yr old would love it.

  6. Ooooh, I love the Polly 16×20. I've been talking about getting a dry-erase calendar for months, but all the ones I see in stores are either ugly or overpriced- these are beautiful! Thanks for the giveaway!

  7. My computer died and I lost my precious calendar. I've been carrying around a monthly planner, but it's not in plain view. I love the idea of being able to give the calendar a quick glance to see what's coming up without having to dig out the planner.

I really need to see a month's worth of information, so I love the Polly Calendar (I can't decide on the 16 X 20 or the 20 X 30)! My kitchen is an ugly peachy-orange and green right now (total 70's colors), so it doesn't match, but if it helps me to stay organized, I don't care!

  8. Ohhhh…I love the Alyssa or Polly (20×30). BEAUTIFUL!!!!

Will your sister hold the discount for those of us who dont win, if we want to wait until after the giveaway?

  9. I love the Polly Calendar 20 x 30! How nice it would be to have everything together in one spot, and have it look super cute, too, instead of all jumbly messy. This would make life that much sweeter. =)

  10. I love Adrian. I already have one of her calendars but it doesn't have the menu option. So I'd probably have to get June or maybe Laina. I use permanent sharpies and they come off the glass just fine. They probably wouldn't come off the plexi glass though

  11. Alyssa 20X30 is my favorite! Such a great idea! I've been using just plain ol' paper calenders & meal planners that I print off my computer. This is a much cuter idea 🙂

  12. I love this one, such a neat idea and cute too! thanks for the contest, so excited!

  13. The Alyssa and the Diana are so cute….was thinking of doing a chalkboard paint on the wall framed thing in my kitchen, but dry erase would probably be much cleaner!

  14. Love love love this! So hard to pick just one I like, but I think I would go with the Alyssa Calender. It has breat colors and I love the menu idea! Thanks so much for sharing:)

  15. I love the Alyssa Calendar with the To Do and To Buy. I'm a very visual person too and constantly forget things because they aren't in a good place for me to look at.

  16. Those are so awesome… I've been holding on to a big ugly frame waiting for some spray paint in the hopes of finding a project just like this. Love that Allyssa design – coral and turquoise together rock. Your site rocks!!

  17. I can't decide between the Alyssa 20×30 or the Lorraine 20×30. I definitely need one of these calendars to keep me organized. Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. Love the Rory – simple and elegant – love the geometric/floral designs. I need to make a chore calendar and this would be perfect!

  19. Lorraine caught my eye right off and stayed my favorite even after looking through all the others choices. I think 16 x 20 will work for me but I need to measure the space.

  20. Brooke, it was SO AWESOME to meet you and Dan at the party last night…and Kathleen was OVER THE MOON, to have met you. Thanks for the invite :). I love the Alyssa calendar! Thanks for all your inspiration and the giveaway!

  21. This is great, just what I need. Brilliant to combine all the ideas in one frame! I love the Laina Calendar or the Allyssa Calendar! 🙂

  22. I love love love the Bridgette printable Calendar on Etsys site. The colors ate summery, and there's a place for everything I need to capture at a glance. I would love to be chosen for a printable!

  23. Fantastic idea, and so easy to do (though i might need handwriting lessons!).
I think my favourite is the Diana design, b&w; so I can use different coloured markers for each family member.
Thanks for the chance to win one!

  24. Great tutorial! You're very talented! I actually googled you after seeing you on craft wars tonite! I was rooting for you and could imagine your vision. I love that you posted that lamp project on here. It turned out great! I do have to go with your calendar choice, Allyssa is my favorite! So glad I found your blog!

  25. Wow they are all amazing! I would have to say Caroline is my absolute favorite though. Do you think the fam would go into shock if I were to hang 4 of em considering we dont even have one now? ;0)
    Thanks!

  26. I like Paige but Adrian only had it in 16 x 20 so I msg'd her and within an hour or so she designed Paige in 20 x 30 for me so I purchased it for $6! I can't wait to get it printed and framed.

  27. All the calendars are nice, but my personal favorites are the 8×10 weekly menu planner and the Jane Full Calendar, because they are simple and easy to read.

Her designs are inspiring me t learn graphic design- really nice.

  28. I love the Polly Calendar – green is my MOST favorite color and I, too, love the options for menu, to do and to buy! You have inspired me to get organized! Thank you!

  29. Brooke, how much did it cost you to have it printed and where? I had mine printed to 23.5 x 26.5" and it cost me $17 at Office Depot!! I thought that was steep but don't have time to run around town comparing prices.

  30. I am so in love with all of them! I think the Diana is my fave because that's my Mom's name! Oh, I need this to keep me organized.

  31. When I saw this. I knew I needed it! It would save me from my post it note nightmare. I love the Diana to keep it all organized in one spot and for my black and white kitchen. Crossing my fingers!!!

  32. These are all too cool. I use an even more boring one than your original one. I think I would have to go with you and say the Alyssa is my favourite, although it's a hard choice.
