Fast, Easy, and Delicious Alfredo Recipe

My kids scarf this stuff down, and as a Mom, there isn’t much more a kid can do than to actually eat their dinner to make a Mom happy as a clam. Can I get an Amen!?!

For birthdays around here, I let my kiddos choose what we have for dinner that night. Most of the time, my kids pick this for their special night.

I know you probably have an Alfredo Recipe already, but this one is GOOD {as opposed to just good} <—-notice what I did with the capital letters!?! I’m feeling hilarious tonight obviously, since I think that’s so funny. Maybe I need some sleep.

I got this recipe about six years ago from my friend Kallie {from Smittenby}. We were neighbors back then, and Kallie made me dinner “just because.”  I remember how grateful I felt for that home cooked meal. I asked for the recipe immediately.  It has been a staple at our house ever since, and I think about Kallie every time I make it.

The sauce is super easy, and the bulk of the recipe is only 3 ingredients! {Beware, this is NOT a healthy recipe}

Fast, Easy and Delicious Alfredo Recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded parmesan cheese
  • Oregano {to taste}
  • Pepper {to taste}

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan on medium to low heat.
  2. Gradually add the whipping cream and Parmesan cheese while stirring constantly.
  3. Continue to stir on medium heat for as long as it takes to melt the Parmesan cheese completely {it usually takes me about 20 minutes}.
  4. Add oregano and pepper to taste. Serve immediately or your butter will start to separate {if this happens do not stress, it still tastes good}.
  5. Serve over noodles of your choice. We add sauted chicken in ours too. I sauté the chicken in a little bit of butter and garlic salt.

Thank you Kallie for the amazing recipe.

    1. Thank you Nikohle! I’m glad they liked it! I’m telling ya, my kids LOVE this stuff too! xoxo. Thanks for coming back and commenting. That is so nice of you!

  1. This is my go-to Alfredo recipe. I like it better than the versions I’ve tried with cream cheese in them. And its sooo easy and quick!

  2. It will melt faster if you buy a block of parm and grate it yourself. Pre-shredded cheese is coated with something (cornstarch, I think) to keep it from sticking together. I also like to add a fourth teaspoon or so of garlic powder.

  3. Oh my, that sounds delish. I haven’t made Alfredo sauce in ages. I’ll have to put this on the menu soon. Thanks so much for sharing.
