  1. Will you be posting the directions/supplies needed for this project for those of us not in your area?
I love this and can think of several uses for it!
    Thanks a bunch!

      1. If you have a saw of your own, there are so many more projects you can do! But, remember If you don’t have access to a power saw, an associate at Home Depot can make most cuts for you, and when you are buying the material there, it is usually FREE.

  2. I just registered! I have the perfect spot for this cart in my kitchen, and I can’t wait to make one!

    1. Yes, but there might be one in your area too! A bunch of my blogging friends are also doing DIH workshops worldwide. Look into it and you might be surprised!

  3. I am also a bit confused. I regestered for a workshop in my area, but likewise, I don’t understand if I get to MAKE a cart there. I am ONLY intereseted if I can MAKE a cart. I notice there is NO COST, but would like an idea of the cost of the materials to know better if I can affornd the item. Please pass on to Home Deport the details are SKETCHY and incomplete.

    1. Andrea,
No, everyone does not make their own cart. We will, however, be doing a presentation that is hands on. So we will have attendees help with certain steps to learn how to do them. We will also be doing several giveaways for Home Depot credit also. So, to answer your question, no, all attendees do not make their own carts at these events. But there are goodies, friends, and a fun project to participate in. šŸ™‚ Any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask.

For the supplies, it cost right around $100 for everything.

  4. Say Brooke…. I might consider revising the language in your blog a bit….

You invite people to come out and make the cart., which although clearly un-intentional, was a bit misleading (to me at least) in how I read it… since you actuallyl “learn to make the cart”.

Also, even after e-mailing and calling Home Depot, they were unable to tell me the cost of the materiasls to create this myself. I am glad you could identify it in your comments as this is VERY helpful to me.

I wondered, if I do NOT have a power saw, can I still make this cart on my own? I would be very appreciative to Home Depot if they could include all of this useful information more readily. The whole idea is VERY COOL and I hope it goes well.

  5. You don’t need to post this publically.. but YES you definately fixed it and I didn’t mean to be offensive in ANY way, but rather hoped it would be helpful and THANK YOU for taking it that way. I enjoy your blog. I very much am excited to see the post-event post about the workshop. What fun and TAKE CARE!!!
