School Bulletin Board “Watch us Grow”

School is back in session. Out of my four kiddos, three of them are back in school and my preschooler will start after Labor Day. He is being ridiculous because he misses his siblings, but I don’t blame him. I’m definitely not as fun as they are. After all, when he licks my face for the fifth time in a row, it’s not likely that I’ll react the way they would.

Over the past week, we have had three birthdays in our family. I have a major birthday hangover. I’m sure you can feel my pain if you have any birthdays in your family close to each other. Plus with school starting too, it’s been a bit of a whirlwind around here.

I am in charge of the bulletin board at my kids’ elementary school and our theme for the year is “Watch us Grow.” If you follow me on Instagram, you saw a sneak peak a few weeks ago.

I bought a roll of moss (<- affiliate) and cut the GROW letters out of moss and with the help of a few friends, made the stems, vines and flowers out of tissue paper and craft wire.

I’m pretty darn excited because as the year goes on, the plants will grow!!  I’ll update this post as the year goes on. But, I’m hoping that the kids will start to notice in a few months. I want it to be kind of subtle, but every month or two I will add more vines and flowers.

In fact, I already added some grass, flower buds, and vines the other day!

FUN huh! Stay tuned for updates!

I hope you are surviving the last days of summer! Are your kids back in school yet?

Happy Monday!

xoxo,

Brooke
