Neutral Halloween Mantle Ideas Broom Parking 25 cents

Happy Friday Friends!

Things are getting real pumpkiny {yep I just made that a word} around these parts! If you are following along with us on Instagram, you may have seen the TRAILER full of pumpkins…. Ahhh! And so the fun begins. {I may be headed to the store later today to stock up on caffeine and chocolate! Just sayin’!}  This Saturday we will be kicking this madness off by having a few friends over, and we can’t wait. This has turned into such a fun tradition!!

In the meantime, I’ve done a little inside decorating to help us get into the Halloween mood! Can I just ‘maybe’ say that I am loving the neutral feel to my mantle! I tried to keep things simple this year. I reused a ton of stuff I had and just moved things around. I love that I can use my books year round simply by covering them with some darling holiday themed paper that I got at Michaels. I did get a few new things: The scented witches brooms {from Walmart}, my cute burlap banner {from Target similar to this one} and the freshly decorated chalk board! Simple but spooky! šŸ™‚  I’ll let the next few pictures speak for themselves…

My chalkboard art was inspired by Michael’s Hocus Pocus Broom Co Post from Inspired Charm. I loved his broom wall from a few years ago!

So what do you think? Are you liking the neutral or are you more of an orange and black kinda decorator?? I have too much color in my house to decorate with much color for holidays. It soon looks like the circus if I do. šŸ™‚

Make sure to check back to see how things are coming and to see the final pumpkins! Here is a look back at a few of our past pumpkin carvings from 2014 2013 and 2012 .

  1. I love your neutral mantle. But I also hate purple and orange! Still I do love it at Halloween—a fun time to take advantage of colors I would never use on a regular basis. Love that hanging birdcage. I can see a big fuzzy spider in there!

  2. Love the neutral, it all looks very cute…maybe I shouldn’t use “cute” to describe Halloween…but it is…. šŸ™‚
