Adorable No-Bake Turkey Cookies

First off, I feel like we all just need to take a gander at the right hand side of this blog. Yep… on the right. Scroll down. Just a bit, a litle more… Stop! See MY face??! THAT’S ME!! I am officially a contributor! Say what?? Well, I’ve been one for a while now but that just makes it so official right? I love it and am so honored! {I could definitely use a new head shot but we’ll work on that later!} Also, if you are wondering who this even is, Brooke kinda introduced me here and here but that’s not super important! LOL.

oook. I gotta stay on track. Today’s post is prrrrreetty basic but I need to give just a tiny back story. My birthday is next week {November ;-)} and when I was younger my mom would make these for my class every. single. year. I remember so specifically taking them into the kids and being so excited to hand them out. I did this for as long as I could pull it off! HA! Now that I have kids of my own, I love to get the supplies and let them make them. We did this for family night last week and it was so fun! You could also take these into a class party because everything is store bought!! The kids could assemble them there as well! Win/win right!? Another thought I had is if you were hosting a big Thanksgiving dinner, you could give them to the littles for something to do after dinner!

Anyway, the possibilities are endless and I hope you think they are as cute and as fun as I do!

I mean, tell me those aren’t just the cutest! 😉 Ha! And just in case you need a little help with assembly, here are the details….

I usually buy my candy corn as soon as it hits shelves and as for the other stuff, you can pretty much buy it year round. The big gum drops have become harder to find except for at your local grocery store. I found these at Lin’s! The red gobblers are usually red hots but these are from the cake decorating aisle and worked wonders! And then of course the cookies and a can of whatever kind of chocolate frosting you like!

My kids helped me put these together and made REALLY sure that frosting did it’s job! Also can’t you just picture the cutest little 2nd grader carrying these into a classroom full of kiddos anxiously awaiting a fun birthday treat?!

Well my new favorite friends, thank you for letting me hang out with you today!! I hope that you have a very Happy Thanksgiving and I look forward to “seeing” you again very soon!

xoxo

  1. Those turkeys are adorable, Jo! I buy candy corn when it first hits the shelves, too. Then I buy it again, and again, and again. (I’m kind of an addict!) Thanks for the fun treat idea. Pinned.
