Feature Friday!

Is it Friday already? This week sped by because of the holiday weekend. So, I will continue “What a difference a Year makes” tomorrow!

I got this e-mail yesterday, and I can’t wait to show you this transformation. The e-mail came from Cami from Kentucky and it says:

“I finally finished my dining table project. My husband and I just moved into a new place, and his brother gave us the table for free and I found the chairs on Craigslist for $25 total. The table was in terrible shape, so I did the best I could with it. The dark chair looks black in some of the pictures, but its actually navy that matches the blue in the flowers. I used Killz to prime them (you are right, original is better than odorless due to the nozzle) and used Cherry Red, Bauhaus Gold, Navy, and Ocean Breeze Krylon Spray Paint. Hope you enjoy the before and after pics, let me know what you think!”

Here are the pictures she sent!
The befores:

And TA-DA…the afters:

Do you recognize the fabric? YEP it is the same fabric I posted about just the other day! The same as my double wing back chair too! I was so excited to see all the chairs with the same fabric on them. I debated back and forth about this a MILLION times.

I love the end result! Cami…honestly…I. LOVE. THIS! Your chairs are so unique. I love the design of the backs of the chairs!

And all the furniture cost LESS THAN $25.00!! Are you beginning to believe that there is SERIOUS thrifti-ness in doing things yourself?

  1. I just bought a table and chair set off Craigslist for 50$….I look forward to painting my chairs!! These posts give me such inspiration. I can't wait to see how mine turn out – hopefully as beautifully as the ones I've seen on your blog.

    Fabulous!!!

  2. Awesome, I bought a table off craigslist for 30$..solid Oak! But first I have to finish my desk I rescued off the side of the road! Much sanding and primering later I am finally at the paint stage!

  3. Love the chairs…that fabric is great. I also love the fact the chairs are painted different colors…not to mention what great chairs they are…great lines!

  4. I love this blog! My sister told me about it and after seeing your "glazing furniture" post I HAD to try it. I've since completed my project and wanted to e-mail you the pics. Where can I find your e-mail, so I can tell you how much I LOVE your stuff!

    Sincerely:
