Wedding Decoration Ideas!

When I go to a wedding, my decorating eye is always in awe at the amazing, creative ideas that I see. The wedding that I attended in Newport Beach, California last week was soooo stinkin’ adorable, that I have been trying to obtain pictures of the event ever since I got home. My brain-dead self forgot my camera.

You are going to LOVE this stuff.

First of all, I have to mention that the credit for this design goes to my amazingly creative, talented cousin Marci. Marci grew up about a half a block away from me, and we are only one day apart. She is honestly the most creative person I know. Her birthday is the day before mine. She is absolutely beautiful inside and out, and I was dying when I saw her wedding decorations.  She might freak out that I put her picture on the site, but too bad. I have to show her off a bit! Can you say GORGEOUS with a capital G!?!?

Can I just say that I would LOVE to live near L.A. to have the Fashion District close. Marci got her fabric for super cheap. She also went to the flower’s market and got all her fresh flowers. Her colorful choices were so stylish, fun, and absolutely stunning!

Take a look at this unique wedding decor. If you are looking for wedding decoration ideas, you are in for a treat. Really, these ideas can be used for any event, and really could be used for decor in your home. I even tried to buy the fabric treatments for my girl’s room. But, I was not surprised to find that I wasn’t the first in line!

Marci took strips of fabric to create this ultra unique ceiling decor for the inside of the wedding tents. Don’t worry, instructions on how to create them yourself can be found below. She chose classy white table clothes to accentuate the centerpieces made from moss, gathered colorful containers, jars, vases, and glassware from all over the nation, and fresh colorful flowers.

The entire event was just breathtaking. I loved every single bit.

Marci and her cute family started collecting the jars and containers months ago. They were all sorts of colors. They got them at flea markets, thrift stores, and really ANYWHERE you can think of.

The flowers were a huge hit to top off the table designs. They used butterflies to add some subtle details.

The genuine vases were so colorful and fun. I loved all the levels she created with squatty short containers and medium sizes and tall pieces to balance each table.

Every color was used. I LOVED IT! I’m sure you aren’t surprised since I love the use of bold colors.

I was dying at all the distinctive floral choices. I had never seen several of the flowers she had on those tables before.

The moss ran directly down the center of each table, and then the glassware adorned the center and contained the flowers.

The mismatched vases and flowers were gorgeous at the wedding!

I loved the simplicity of the chairs and rectangle tables. It brought out the amazing colors of the decorations perfectly.

  6. I was here at this wedding (and even in this picture)! I'm Marci's roommate (from our BYU days) and am the one in the picture in the pink shirt with the baby. I read your blog all the time but didn't realize that you were Marci's cousin.

I LOVE your blog, love all your ideas and thank you so much for your tutorials. I'm getting up the courage to try stenciling!

  7. I am in love with you table runner idea. I am planning our wedding at the moment and we are using old jars as centre peices. I am stuck on a runner and would love to know where your brought this or how you made it. It’s simple but so effective. I loved the pictures.
