Ingredients

Baked French Toast

  • 2 Baguettes I like the baguettes from Costco best.
  • 1.5 cups Milk I use 1%
  • 1.5 cups Coffee Mate Coconut Cream can use half and half also
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 6 Large Eggs or 8 medium eggs
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

Caramel Drizzle

  • 1 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup salted butter
  • 3 tbsp light corn syrup

Instructions

  1. Cut your baguettes into 1 inch slices

  2. Layer baguette slices into a deep 9X13 inch pan. I like to use the disposable tin foil pans because they are extra deep.

  3. Mix together eggs, milk, half and half {or coffee creamer}, vanilla, and cinnamon

  4. Pour egg mixture over the baguettes

  5. Cover with tin foil and refrigerate at least 4 hours. Overnight is ideal. If you don't have a lot of time, I like to switch the rows of baguettes about half way through to give both layers the chance to saturate.

  6. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Caramel Drizzle

  1. Add all three ingredients into a medium saucepan on med-high heat until it bubbles throughout.

  2. Pour caramel over the baguettes and bake immediately

  3. Bake for 40 minutes

Serve

  1. Serve with favorite syrup, whipped cream, berries, bananas, and dust lightly with powdered sugar.
