Introducing our Dream Home Part 2 Master Bedroom, Office, Laundry Room

First of all THANK YOU for all of your opinions about Part 1 of our Dream Home! I told you the kitchen was a tough one. So many decisions swirl around my head, but I’m so happy to hear opinions streaming in!

I’m excited to show Part 2 today! I didn’t feel good about sharing the house pictures with the previous owner’s furnishings in it, so that’s why it’s taken me a few weeks to get pictures taken. I figured, you would probably want to see the rooms without boxes stacked to the ceiling, right!!?!

So, make way for the office, the laundry room, the master bedroom, and guest room #1!

The office is spacious, and has room to leave my Silhouette CAMEO on the counter if I want!  The wood tones in this room don’t match the rest of the house from PART 1, and they are more orange-honey than the rest of the house.

The ceilings are vaulted in this room, and I’m really excited to explore the option of BEAMS in this room!

The walls are currently glazed and I can’t wait to cover that up.  🙂

In fact, I’ve already started playing with this room in photoshop. I think a dark moody cabinet color, light walls and beams in the ceiling  would be dreamy! What do you think!?!

The master bedroom is SURPRISE….ALL TAN. Just kidding. The entire house is all tan. The good thing is that the rooms all have crown molding, white ceilings, and beautiful plantation shutters. It’s definitely a blank canvas!

Our wingback headboard that we built from our last master bedroom is still in great shape, so we are keeping it for now. 🙂 If you want a tutorial for the headboard, check it out HERE.

To remind you, this is what that room looked like:

I’m excited to start adding color and pizzaz to this place. It’s time!

The laundry room is AWE-SOME. It’s what Mom-dreams are made for, and I am loving all the storage space. This house even has a LAUNDRY SHOOT! Say whaaaaaaa!?! My kids have no excuse now.

I think a fun patterned tile and a fun cabinet color is in the future of this room!

I love that it has a pebble ice machine and a soaking sink too.

This guest room is just waiting for some personality. It’s one of the first rooms I am working on, and I can’t wait to show you the plan! If you remember, our old guest room had a MURAL on the wall….

Remember this:

I feel like this room needs a little somethin’ somethin’ to help our guests feel more at home. Stay tuned.

Since I know some of you may ask, this headboard is from Joss and Main and is LESS than $150! The pink duvet is from HomeGoods.

I’m excited to hear your opinions about these rooms too! So, please don’t hold your tongue!

xoxo,

Brooke

  1. pebble ice machine in the laundry room? Yeah, definitely a dream! So exciting.
I love the color for the cupboards in the office. Very business like but makes me think Bishop’s office for some reason….

  2. Love the ideas for the office! Jealous of all that space! You are gonna have so much fun adding your stamp to the whole house! Absolutely a dream!

  3. I like your office idea. That will look great. Wow what a laundry room! How about painting the cabinets a nice aqua color?

  4. Hey if you are thinking of putting in the fun patterned cement tile, come look at mind first. It’s onky been 18 months and I am so disappointed in how it is holding up. It’s in my laundry room too!

  5. Love the idea for dark cabinets in the office! The laundry room is the perfect place for bright colors- might as well enjoy the room we spend so much time in!

  6. Wow. Now that’s some house!!!! And a blank slate to boot.
Where to start… I love the color of the office cupboards but the comment about them being in the BIshops office makes me think twice. The color is very elegant and rich and might not be so “Bishopy” if other colors are introduced. That laundry room is a dream. I personally would go with white cupboards and a fun colorful wall color… maybe a yellow or pale lime green. The master…. I’m in love with masters that are sublime, relaxing and invite peace. My master bedroom is my sanctuary and I want to be calm… so colors that invite those feelings would be my choice. I can’t wait to see what you do!!!
