Coffee Table Makeover

Hello!  FANCY FARMGIRLS here

We’ve got FOMO with yard sales!  The garage has plenty of projects still waiting for their makeover, so I fight the urge to pull over at the yard sale but…

I do.  FOMO  (fear of missing out)  It’s real.

And I definitely don’t NEED another coffee table but she’s five bucks so what’s a girl to do?

She’s square with perfect chunky legs.

And needing to be saved from her orange oak self.

So I saved her.

But let’s make it simple and quick.  Life is calling.

Timesaver trick:  Spray the legs.  Anything with curves and grooves will look better sprayed.

Next, I grabbed a sample pot of paint from my endless supply of trying to find the perfect gray for our exterior.  This one happens to be “Amazing Gray”, a Sherwin Williams color.  These little three dollar pots are perfect for smaller pieces of furniture  like this.

Then I wiped on a little white wax to give it a little more depth and personality.

And there she be.  New and improved.

Excluding dry time between layers this just took 30 minutes.

Remember to just look at shapes and function of furniture.

The color can always easily change.
