Classic Halloween Mantle Ideas

If you have read All Things Thrifty for awhile, you know that Halloween is definitely a big deal around here. For over ten years, we carved 100+ pumpkins annually and shared them with our community!! For fun, if you want to see those pumpkin carvings check them out. Maybe one of these days we will do that again! Or maybe not? Just thinking about it brings back the smell of pumpkin guts and thoughts of all-nighters.  Ha!

Lately, our kids’ activities have monopolized our time, and I know the majority of you can relate. I am definitely not complaining. My biggest joy in life is my family but we decided to step back from carving millions of pumpkins {ok, not millions} to support our kids in their activities.

This post is sponsored by JOANN. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you follow All Things Thrifty on Instagram, you know that I got ankle surgery about 6 weeks ago. {And if you don’t follow ATT on Insta, then you probably should. I can be prrrrretty funny at times. HA! Can I even say that?} #definitely

As a result of my surgery, I haven’t been decorating much at my house these days. Thankfully my friend Jamie let me decorate her mantle from the couch! Side note: Isn’t her house is AMAZING!?!

With this post, we had one goal: to have her mantle be timeless and Pottery Barn-ish. We both always love the PB look, but we rarely buy anything from their shelves since the price tag is just too much.

So, isn’t it great to know that you can achieve that SAME look by shopping at JOANN!

Every single item we used on Jamie’s mantle was straight from the Halloween  aisles at JOANN. {Besides the two books from the bookcase at Jamie’s house}

Jo {my bff} made this DARLING burlap Happy Halloween Banner! She cut burlap ribbon, strung the pendants on twine, and stenciled the lettering. Adding this homemade element makes the space unique! Plus, we added some black vinyl crows to add another spooky touch to the pillar candles. Thanks to my Silhouette CAMEO, adding the vinyl was simple, fast and affordable.

If you haven’t been to JOANN lately, I highly suggest getting there. They have really darling things! Check out my fall decor post from last month for more ideas too.

Jamie’s TV doesn’t sit flush on her wall, so that’s why it looks a little crooked in this picture,  but I wanted to show you the entire mantle. It turned out sooo cute, and pictures don’t do it justice.  We HAD to put the black cauldron into her fireplace!

The black twig wreath can be used again for any Halloween vignette, and the hexagon mirror and candlesticks can be used for ANY holiday.

My favorite piece on the mantle ended up being this DARLING mercury glass pumpkin
