Pantone’s 2012 Color of the Year!

Dec 15th, 2011

Every year I announce the Pantone color of the year to keep you in the loop of current color trends!

This year the color is TANGERINE TANGO!pantone2012_01 I’ve already seen this color all over Home and Fashion for the last several months, so it will be fun to see the latest and greatest throughout 2012.

Here are a few fun pictures of the color used in Interior Design.

Both of the above photos came from Decor Pad, one of my favorite places to peruse for inspiration.

I featured my good friend Joon’s amazing office a few months ago, and she used a similar color too! Love it.

MirrorDo you have anything this color in your home? Do you WANT something this color in your home!?!?  Ha ha.

  1. I actually really like that color and it will go with so many other colors.

  2. I love this color – I've been on a bit of an orange kick these past few months, so it's perfect! And I love that headboard – so gorgeous!

  3. My kitchen walls are this color. A few years back I was really into this color and our landlord let us paint whatever colors we wanted. However, I have disliked it on the wall for a while now. I have wanted to change the color with the whole yellow, grey, and turquoise rage going on everywhere, but haven't done it, because we're renting and I didn't feel it was worthy to invest.

I guess it is now back and I may stick to it.

Love your blog and have been following you for a few weeks!

  4. I don't have anything that color as my home but I made a Bib Necklace that color

  5. The Yoder's Four says:

LOVE this color. One of my faves, but I don't have it anywhere in my house yet! Maybe it will be easier to find decor in tangerine now.

  6. I guess you should paint your wall that color now:)

  7. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that headboard! I will be using this color for sure :)

  8. I just barely painted my living room this color, I had no idea it was the new "in" color! I actually painted the room because I copied your idea to redo a piano, and it looked so good I decided the room needed a new color that would set the piano off. I then decorated in black and white. I still need to find a few more things to put up, but I love it so far.
You can see a picture on my blog at Thanks so much for your great ideas!!

  9. I definitely could work orange into my office…because I have a white base color. I don't have any striking colors yet, but I think I might get fed up with orange long before the end of the year.
