The Good News and the Bad News

I’ll start with the good news. It is actually not just good news, it is GREAT news. I have been laying low since I got back, but I would like to introduce you to Latoya Simmons.

Latoya is an amazing single mother of 4 kids {two girls and two boys}, and I was given the opportunity by GMC to help decorate her home this weekend as part of the #GMCHTA {GMC Hidden Treasure Adventure}.

If you don’t know what the GMC Hidden Treasure Adventure is, don’t worry, you aren’t alone. Check out my post from last year’s Hidden Treasure Adventure to bring you up to speed. Or check out the hashtag #GMCHTA on twitter and Instagram.

Stay tuned for more pictures to come!! Thank you GMC for inviting me help!

The BAD NEWS…

I have a terrible cold and cough. I don’t think I’ve been this sick in years. I’m sure it hit me harder because of lack of sleep and traveling this week. So bear with me as I try and pry myself out of bed for the next little bit.

I also got to go to Atlanta Georgia last weekend to attend and speak at Haven 2013 on behalf of GMC. It was an amazing experience and I’m grateful for my brother Court {from The Blog Builders} for speaking with me! Court even stayed with me an extra day just to help at the Habitat for Humanity house for Latoya.

Thank you GMC for the opportunity!

Stay tuned for more pictures of Latoya’s house!

  4. I got pretty sick with a cold and cough at the end of last week too! I think we’ve all just been run down with all the excitement and travel on top of normal life. And you had these awesome responsibilities too!! Since I’m reading this kinda late, I hope you’re doing much better. xo
