    Tina White says:

Every room of our house has been painted and nicely decorated except for my Master Bedroom! My husband & I did our two boys’ rooms first and then room by room after that. Well, our bedroom is the last one. I want this room done so badly. It has flat paint on the walls from when we moved in, Yuck! Plus we just kind of threw it together. If I won the Silhouette CAMEO Cutting Tool, it would give me the inspiration I need to finally tackle our bedroom & make it ours. I’m thinking I would make the Live, Laugh, Love words and put them above our headboard surrounded by various shapes & sizes of family pictures. These words inspire me to be a better wife & parent by taking in every moment. I’m sure I could come up with multiple ways of using this awesome machine but first it’s going to help me make our bedroom our Sanctuary!

  179. 179

    I would love to win!!!!!

  180. 180

I definitely want a Silhouette- I’ve already got a Pinterest board devoted to projects for it! My first project, however, would be super-cute custom onesies for my niece -she’s named after a character in a popular sci-fi show and her momma can’t seem to find any cute stuff from etsy or craft sites to honor that. I also want to make a monogrammed canvas for my master bedroom….

  184. 184

Everything in my home would probably be covered in scrolls, words and dots by the end of the year if I won this! But first I would create a large inspirational sign for above my kitchen window.

  185. 185

I would make baby shower items – decor, favors, etc. – for a shower that I am throwing next month!

  186. 186

I would use it to make signs for an upcoming wedding!!!

  187. 187

Right now, I need to finish up the stockings I need to make with monograms or something

  188. 188

I’ve wanted one of these for so long! I have a craft list a mile long that NEEDS it! But, right now, highest on my list of uses would be Christmas presents and some art for my soon-to-be-born baby boy’s room :)

And I’m sure my husband would love to get that big thing out of the garage (though hanging it 20 feet above the ground should prove tricky, and defy all laws of physics)

  206. 206

I’d love to put polka dots on my daughter’s ceiling!!

  207. 207

I’d definitely be making some wall decals, but I’d also love to do fabric applique letters!

I would love a silhouette so that I could personalize my rented apartments (moving so often is not conducive to buying) and take it all down easily when I leave without any damage!

    I love your blog! Thanks!

  229. 229

I have been saving for one of these for months and I’ve been saving free cut files too, so I guess I would start with them.

  230. 230

I first would make a vinyl cut out for my kitchen table. I instantly fell in love with your idea. I couldn’t afford a cameo so I did get an exacto knife and divider and made a homemade stencil from your idea. I got the vinyl, but the edges are not sharp enough to use on something like my kitchen table. The stencil itself is great, but the vinyl cutting it out by hand or with the exacto knife didn’t come out as smooth. We recently move into our home and my little boy wants airplanes in his room and my little girl wants chandeliers in hers. In also like the signs you’ve made and put in your kitchen. A lot of cute ideas. I did re-do a vanity recently in Krylon watermelon and antique glazed it for my little girls room and it turned out amazing. Thank you ALL THINGS THRIFTY for empowering women to DIY.

    Emmale Simons says:

My sister has been battling with breast cancer since January, now that we are reaching the end of the year, her family is swamped and overwhelmed with medical debt. Before the years starts over and she has to meet a new deductible she is trying to get things under control, but it’s hard when she is a stay at home mom with 3 boys under 6. I opened up an Etsy shop, and I am making things that i can sell, and am donating all the proceeds to her. The silhouette Cameo would make it so much easier to make some of the things in my shop, and make them less time consuming. I also have a ton of other ideas of projects I have wanted to do so that my shop can get more traffic and make more money for her, but it’s hard to do some of them by hand. The Cameo could open up my possibilities and I would be able to hopefully grow my shop more and more so that I can actually make a dent in her debt! Thank you so much for the opportunity!!!
