Inexpensive Girls Camp Pillow Treat Idea

By the time you read this, I will be officially on my way to girls’ camp. Wish me luck on this adventure. If you are LDS, and have ever been to girls’ camp, or are a leader who has ever planned girls’ camp, you can understand my feelings tonight as I write this post.

I’m excited.

I’m nervous.

I’m happy the planning is over.

I’m hoping that all the planning pays off and everything goes smoothly.

I’m worried that there will be girl drama {30 teenage girls…it’s bound to happen}.

I’m humbled that my oldest daughter gets to come this year!

I’m ready for it to be over. Shhhhh don’t tell the girls. It will ruin it. šŸ™‚

Before I hit the road, I thought I would quickly share this fun, inexpensive idea with you because it was so fast and super cheap to make each girl a cup for girls’ camp. That way we aren’t spending scads of money on paper cups or water bottles.

I bought these cute colored tumblers at Dollar Tree (yes for $1.00 each). If you have bought cups like this before, you know what a STEAL of a deal it is to find them for $1.00. {These are a super cute alternative if you can’t find them at the dollar store!} [affiliate]

Then I used my trusty Silhouette {affiliate} machine to cut vinyl for each one. I honestly was done with almost 40 of these in about an hour. Not bad. {If you are ever in the market for a silhouette, just use code “thrifty” and if there is a current discount, it will work!

The greatest part? These cups could be used for any type of gift. I loved our Super Mom Cups for a Mother’s Day gift idea and it could EASILY be changed to a Father’s Day gift too.

I’ll be in and out of service for the next few days, so be patient with your questions. I’ll be back. šŸ™‚

Wish me all the luck with camp!

xoxo,

Brooke

  1. Great idea! I love that you’re gifting them to your girls. We’ve had the girls bring their own water bottles the last few years to save money on water bottles too. It’s wonderful to have their names on them, so if they (accidentally) leave them somewhere, you’ll know who to return it to. And, I LOVE the anchors! What a fun leader!!!
