Dog Lovers Unite

This post brought to you by Beneful. The content and opinions expressed below are that of All Things Thrifty.

Meet Sugar, the cutest little shih tzu that ever was! 😉 However if you’ve been around for awhile, you’ve seen her majesty a time or two!  Isn’t it crazy how your whole life you deem yourself “not a dog person” and then your friend shows up with a stinkin’ cute puppy that needs to be adopted and then BAM! You are NOW a dog person! Ha! {I may or may not be speaking from experience here!} Sugar really is the sweetest thing but she definitely knows when to take a break from the chaos that sometimes ensues! We actually have another dog too, a silver lab named Ruger! We’ll call him Dan’s dog! HAHA! 😉 He’s huge and playful and Sugar loves to drive him crazy!! Ha! She kinda likes to be pretty much wherever anyone else is. Especially other 4 legged friends! sugarThat being said, we are so excited about the Dream Dog Park Project! Did you know that since 2010 the dream dog park project has helped bring to life a dozen dog parks and approximately 12 more coming this year! I love that communities are rallying behind such a fun cause! We have an amazing dog park in our area and I love seeing people there with their pups! You know at that moment they all have something in common: their dogs!  {You can easily find a park near you by heading to the link above and if don’t see one in your area, there are a ton of ways to get involved! And the best part is it doesn’t need to be from the ground up. Most of these parks have been cleaned, updated and renovated!

Sugar 4Does it get any cuter than that?! Ha!

Sugar 5The park essentials, amiright?! Squeaky ball? Check. Leash? Check. Poopoo Bags? Check. Also if you are headed out to your local park, make sure you read over Dog Parks 101 ! This was a great list of things to remember when around other pups!

Sugar 9Here’s my cute Londers! She loves taking Sugar down to the neighborhood park!

If you are curious about how you can get involved, you are in luck! Beneful has a ton of information for you! Things like where you can start, how you can contribute and/or volunteer!  You can also submit to them a picture of your pooch with #dreamdogpark! For every social share, Beneful will put $1 towards the Dream Dogs Park Project! So easy right?

This is such a great opportunity to get your community involved, not only to make it look more beautiful with new parks but to have a safe place to gather!

Thanks for hanging out with me today and if you have any more questions about this fantastic project, make sure you head over to Beneful for all the info.

Happy Friday!

  1. I Love your Sugar, I have a Havanese and shih tzu mix. And she thinks she’s a human. What a sweetheart and a difference she has made in our lives.
