Feature Friday..

This weeks Feature Friday comes from Tracie Crain over at www.coffeewiththecrains.blogspot.com.

It was inspired by Brooke’s backless bar stool post. If you missed that post you can find it here.
So here are Tracie’s bar stools {Before}

{After} a coat of red paint
and the {Finished Result} after a little black glaze
I absolutely heart what the black glaze did for them. It just added a little something something. I think they look amazing!!
Great Job Tracie!! Thanks for sharing them with us.
Have you tackled one of our projects?? Please send your pictures to allthingsthrifty@gmail.com so you can be the *star* of our Feature Friday posts.

  1. Those DID come out fantastic! And that little something of black glaze really sealed the deal! Speaking of "seal" did you spray them with a coat of sealer? They are pretty shinny… Did you use the spray primer or did you sand them first? I want to try this project!

  2. i actually sanded them before i sprayed them red. just a light sanding, to get the light coat of polyeurethane off. and i DID poly them after the black dried. but i didn't use a spray-on, i brushed it on. i wanted a pretty good, thick coat since my kids sit on these every day!

  3. THOSE are AWESOME!

    I've bought some black glaze…going to use it on my next project…can't wait!

    Thanks for sharing such goodness! 😉

  4. Absolutely perfect!! I'm in the process of turning an old farmhouse door into my dining room table & want my chairs to be the same style but different colors. The black glaze is exactly the look I wanted but didn't know how to get. Thanks SO much!!
