At-Home AB Sculpting Workouts!

abworkouts11WHAT UP WHAT UP guys! I am so excited to be back on ALL THINGS THRIFTY with some more exclusive FITNESS GOODNESS!!

Ever since I lost 80 pounds after my little boy, I have been dreaming of getting that toned stomach! My entire life I’ve never had definition in my abs and I figured it was time to stop dreaming and start DOING!!

Life gets in the way (let’s not forget!) and with 2 little ones 4 and under, I have to do most of my working out at home!

So…let’s do it together shall we?

These 5 movements will help sculpt and tone your ab muscles!

Try holding each of these movements for as long as you can…up to one minute! After the minute is up, rest for 30 seconds and try the next movement. Rotate through each movement and repeat the circuit 4 more times!

FIRST UP: THE PLANK

(Make sure to really engage your core in this. keep that booty down and focus on contracting those glutes and abs!)

SECOND: GLUTE RAISES

(After trying to hold the plank play around with a new movement! Slowly raise your booty in the air keeping your legs and back straight, and bring it back down to the plank position. Do this movement over and over for 1 minute!)

SUPERMAN and HOLLOW BACKS

In the superman position (the one on your belly) make sure you lift those legs completely off the floor all while lifting your shoulders and chest off the ground too!

In the hollow back position (on your back) lift those legs and those shoulders. Lift your arms as far above your head as possible! Really try to only have the lower portion of your back on the ground. This really works those obliques!

and finally, the SIDE PLANK!

Like the plank, but on one side of your body.

(Keep that hip up and place your upper leg on your lower leg. Really focus on tighten those muscles!) ABWORKOUTS2 AND THERE YOU HAVE IT!!
