Color Changing Lightbulbs by Philips!

My mind is being BLOWN by all of the Smart Home options that we are learning about from this series! This post is sponsored by The Home Depot. All opinions are 100% mine, always.

Friends, family, and countrymen, did you know that there are WiFi enabled lightbulbs that can change color with the flick of a finger on an APP!?! Just so you know exactly how this Home Depot series is working , they pick a smart home product from their inventory, and send it to us to try and review. We don’t have control over what is sent, but let me tell ya, so far we have LOVED everything. Our home was built 18 years ago, so the smart home products that exist now weren’t even invented back then!

So, how does this work exactly? Well, just pick a spot in your home that you think would be ideal for … oh, I don’t know, an epic dance party. Jk. All you need is a place for a light bulb… a lamp could even work!  Next, replace the existing light bulb with one of these Phillips WiFi Enabled Lightbulbs ! Now all you gotta do is install the app, and plug in the bridge to your router which is a piece of cake. The directions on how to sync the app to the bridge are so easy and takes less than 5 minutes. Time to sit back and watch the magic happen!

Check out these colors!

Want PINK LIGHTING for the Baby Girl shower you are going to throw? It’s covered!

Maybe some green for a St Patty’s Day party?! You got it!

And my personal favorite, turquoise! Isn’t it fun! Guys, the color options are kinda endless!

Don’t want color? That’s ok too! With these they can also just be your typical bulb light. You can make them a cool bulb or a warm bulb, the possibilities really are endless!

Can you just imagine the dance parties that are gonna take place?! Ha!

The kit comes with 4 bulbs and an adapter. The coolest thing about this is you can have them in more than one room in your house and with the app, you can control each one individually! My mind is blown!

I will save you the heartache though and tell you that sadly,  they don’t work  in the pool. We totally tried them in there. Turns out wifi doesn’t travel through water. Who knew?!  DARN. But, in the mean time, I’ll be adjusting the color for fun on a daily basis!

It would also be a GREAT teenager or college dorm room gift too! For a set of four bulbs the cost is close to $200 in case you are curious on price point.

Let me know if you have any questions and I will answer them in the comments.

xoxo,

Brooke
