DIY MAGNOLIA WREATH FOR LESS THAN $20

Hey friends, Jo here! It’s been a minute since I have done my own post! I feel like we have been up to our eye balls in super fun projects over here with the flooring and we cannot wait to show you all of those reveals!! The kitchen and the living room are going to go live sooooo soon and I can’t wait. Brooke has worked her magic over here and the place is looking amazing! {If I may say so myself!} 😉 Which brings me to today’s post!

While we were designing and putting things together for my living room gallery wall, using things I already had, we decided a wreath would be perfect in this one little spot. Well. Do you think that I could find a wreath ANYWHERE in the city of St. George that would work? Let me just tell you. I went to: Target, Ross, Pier One, TJ Maxx, Tai Pan, Walmart, back to TJ Maxx and I even had my mom checking her Home Goods in Salt Lake. Nothing.

How is that even possible?! So one night while in the rabbit hole that is Instagram I came across this beauty. Product_Magnolia1_4_of_14_1024x1024Source

I should have known it was from Magnolia House because who doesn’t love Fixer Upper… Ha!  But this little DIY loving heart could not stomach the HUGE price tag! $98? Yikes! But alas. I fell in love and knew I had to make it mine… So I did. I literally made one. Ha! Now while mine doesn’t have the browns and tans, I sorta just love it all the same! So without further adieu, here is my very own version that can be your very own version too!

Supplies:

  • 14″ Grapevine Wreath {ours is from Michael’s and we used a 40% off coupon so it was $3 something!}
  • One bunch of magnolia leaves {also from Michael’s and also on sale but a coupon could also be used on this!}
  • Needle nose pliers and/or wire cutters
  • Glue Gun and glue sticks

To begin, I used the inside cutter of my pliers, and removed all of the leaves off of the bunch.

 Next, I picked a spot and started gluing them on. DIY Magnolia Wreath

I found it worked best to work from both ways. Top and bottom. Some little, some big and just kinda work towards each other. DIY Magnolia Wreath 4 {I moved leaves around… like a lot so it ended up taking me a couple hours but that’s only because I am a slight perfectionist.}

But that’s it. So easy right?! I love it!

And while I know this is just a tiny snippet of the wreath, we will be revealing where it is really going so soon because we have a HUGE reveal coming up and you’ll get to see the whole space!!

It’s gonna be FUN!! And I can’t wait to show you! Thanks for hanging out with me today!
