Favorite Projects of 2011!!

I’m honestly baffled that 2011 is over! This year has been a blurr! Doing a recap of the year is always fun, and if you missed the top stories of 2010, you should to check it out!
2011 began with an addition to the family!! We started the year with a BANG and brought Creed Courtney Ulrich into the world on January 23rd!

Since the biggest news this year was having a baby, decorating my baby boy nursery was a definite highlight of the year! Decorating nurseries, and kids rooms is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!!

Baby Boy RoomI transformed my crib for cheap, and I even created a some custom wooden letters to make his room as unique as possible! Then I made this fun barn wood wall art!

Then we had the angry bird pinata that my brother Phil and his amazing wife Aubrey made for our family party!!  I also gave some fun yard sale tips to teach you how to advertise successfully for a yard sale.

The DIY turquoise mirror was definitely one of my all time favorite projects! I wish the pictures would do it justice!! It is MASSIVE and makes a huge statement in my entryway.

Making picture frames out of old chairs was a fun project too!

Painting furniture a bright color is one of my FAVORITE things to do, and painting my daughter’s desk pink was a fun project!
pink furnitureThe Wilding Wall Bed was a definite highlight of our year! We have visitors a lot since we live in St. George, Utah (a place where people like to come and enjoy the warm weather).

Our backyard was a big project in 2011 too! Our DIY inground trampoline instructions was a hit!

Making a fun lamp out of Christmas ornaments was a blast too!

The backyard was a HUGE project that took a lot of our time and resources this spring. It was a lot of fun to have a finished backyard!landscape rockWe even made a flagstone pathway so that I could walk barefoot through the rock areas! backyard flag stone pathway
After our backyard was finished, we had time to start refinishing furniture again! I refinished this birdie hall tree for my friend Jo! Then I made a fun Christmas wreath out of burlap!

The DIY diamond tufting tutorial was one of the hardest tutorials of the year. But, I learned a lot. diamond tuftingThe blogger behind the blog series was a highlight for me because I got to learn a lot from some MAJOR blogging stars. Blogger behind the blog copy We also added molding in our living room/kitchen area in our home! It added a lot of character! We also reupholstered this yellow wing back chair and made these fun quatrefoil wall art panels!

Making HUGE Christmas ornaments was also fun this year!! And last but not least, the DIY pot rack from a coffee table was also a fun transformation!
