Heavenly Brownies

When I lived in Salt Lake City in 2000, a friend of mine made these brownies for a work party. I asked her for the recipe, and the other day, the memory of the deliciousness was too strong to deny. I dug up the recipe from my old folder and made them for book club. Every single brownie was devoured. Thank you Beth Olsen for this delicious recipe. It’s a definite crowd pleaser!

Ingredients

  • 1 package Of your Favorite Brownie Mix Make brownies per directions and cool completely {I love either the Fudge Brownie Mix by Better Crocker or the Ghirardelli brownie mix from Costco}
  • 1 8 oz Tub of Cool Whip
  • 3-4 Bars Heath Candy Bars Barely Crushed
  • 1 Tbsp Chocolate Syrup
  • 1 3.4 oz box Instant Chocolate Pudding Make per directions
  • 1 8 oz Cream Cheese Softened

Instructions

  1. Make your brownies in a 13x9 pan. I buy the family size so that it fits into a 13X9 pan. Cool completely.

  2. Next, make your instant chocolate pudding and mix in your softened cream cheese until smooth. Place your pudding/cream cheese mixture in the fridge to thicken.

  3. After the brownies and pudding mixture is completely cooled and thick, spread the pudding mixture onto the cooled brownies.

  4. Sprinkle crunched up Heath candy bars on top of the pudding.

  5. Spread cool whip over the top as like frosting.

  6. Swirl chocolate syrup on top of the cool whip and use the end of a knife to create a marbled look by making “s” patterns until you achieve the marbled look.

Recipe Notes

You will need oil, water, and eggs for the brownie mix. You will also need cold milk to make the pudding.

Make them! You won’t regret it!

Brooke
