Using Picks to Transform your CHEAP Christmas tree!

I bought this cheap 3 1/2 foot Christmas tree at Walmart a few years ago for $20. It’s not the best looking tree in all the land, but it’s small and, it was the perfect size for my front porch. PLUS, I knew I could make it cute with a little tender loving care.

Since my ornaments are MIA at the moment, I headed to JOANN to grab a few things that I thought might help snazz it up a bit. Plus I didn’t want to use the ornaments from my other tree or I wouldn’t have enough to decorate that tree!

I grabbed a large roll of red buffalo check ribbon and a few varieties of holiday floral picks to transform this little tree of ours. All of the holiday decor was on 50% off sale too!

I started by sewing a loop into the ribbon.

And cutting the ends to look cute.

Then, I started wiring picks and ribbon to the tree {with the help of my cute assistant Londyn}.

A piece of buffalo check flannel fabric bunched at the bottom covered up the ugly tree stand.

The picks and ribbon added so much cuteness and charm to our cheap little tree,  and it’s just the right size for The porch!

xoxo,

Brooke
