Welcome to Winter Party with Hallmark Channel

This post is sponsored by Cost Plus/World Market in collaboration with Hallmark Channel. All Opinions are 100% mine.

When the air starts to chill, and winter is looming, a tradition in our home is to watch Hallmark Channel movies! I know we are not the only family that gets sucked in. We love the story lines, the mushiness, and the idea that stories have good endings! My daughter Londyn is obsessed with “Christmas with Holly”. It’s her favorite Christmas movie.

When my friends at Cost Plus World Market asked me if I wanted to throw a Hallmark Channel party, I was ECSTATIC. Of course I do! And guess what?! Plus Cost Plus World Market is teaming up with Hallmark Channel and are doing a huge sweepstakes to win a walk on role to a Hallmark Channel movie. How fun right?!

Cost Plus World Market is thrilled to have Just as World Market’s customers coming to their store and shopping for their favorite holiday items! Did you know they have unique ornaments, imported traditional holiday food and beverages? In fact, while I was shopping there myself, I decided that the best way to Welcome Winter, is to throw a Hallmark Channel Movie night with a deluxe hot cocoa bar! Isn’t that the essence of winter!?! Sitting on the couch snuggled with a blanket and a delicious mug of cocoa defines winter to me.

Speaking of the Hallmark Channel, they have 22 NEW movies coming out  {premiering every Saturday and Sunday night @ 8 pm/7c} this season but the one I am most excited for is a called Mingle All The Way! I can’t wait to watch it so that I can try and catch a glimpse of some of the World Market’s Products! They are going to be throughout the entire movie set. Here’s an actual LookBook where you can see some of that amazing products Cost Plus World Market has to offer.  But whatever you do, just make sure you tune into the Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas programming event! It’s going to feature holiday movies 24/7!

Now, onto this fantastic party! It ended up being super simple to throw and I love that. It wasn’t above the top and in your face, but it was nice, comfortable, and fun. I specifically love how affordable this entire party was. It cost less than $250 for every single thing {see a complete list of items at the bottom of the post}. The paper plates, the cookies and crackers, the decorations…everything! There was tons of Christmas Party Food to choose from. I love that the party wasn’t about the decorations, it was about celebrating friendships, and I invited my book club friends to attend. Plus after it was all over, I realized that I had way too much food, so it would have been much less had I known that.

I went to Cost Plus World Market in Salt Lake City {when  I was in town for my TV segments with KSL and FOX} and grabbed everything I needed in less than an hour.

I love that I bought hardly any decorations! We used a DIY bar that we made last year, and I borrowed artificial greenery from friends, and made a cute sign to adorn the serving table. But honestly, I think the spread would have looked darling on a regular table with a tablecloth.

I owned most of the white dishes already, but I bought a few cute sets of jumbo white mugs to reiterate the theme, and I’m obsessed at how cute they are.

The mugs ended up being the perfect way to display the chocolate stirring spoons and peppermint stir sticks!

I designed a Hallmark Channel Party sign that turned out sooo cute. So if you want to use it for your future parties, feel free!

One of my favorite things I found at Cost Plus World Market was this giant sheet of marshmallow! I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of great choices that Cost Plus World Market had for Christmas Entertaining

It was so fun to make fun holiday shaped marshmallows! All I did was dip the cookie cutter in a small amount of cornstarch and it worked perfectly!

Isn’t that gingerbread man the cutest marshmallow you’ve ever seen!?!

We had a blast, enjoyed each other’s company, and snuggled up on the couch with blankets.

My friends had fun customizing their hot cocoa with flavored syrups! We had hazelnut, caramel, raspberry, butter pecan, and peppermint flavors. The most popular was definitely hazelnut!

I loved giving a cute party favor to each of my guests with a cute box of hot cocoa, a miniature Torani syrup flavor and a tiny wire whisk!

The favors turned out really cute wrapped in cello and tied with a cute ribbon.
