As you may know, we have spent the last year upgrading our older, yet new-to-us dream homeinto a tech-savvy smart home. So far, in this series we have discussed the perks of a smart garage door, we installed a video doorbell, added a video security camera to the side of our house, upgraded our kitchen island lightbulbs to wifi enabled bulbs, installing smart light switches, added smart door locks, and today we are talking about these fun colorful wifi enabled lightbulbs for our front porch!!!
Honestly I never knew how fun adding smart home products to our home would be! We decided to put our new Wiz lightbulbs on our front porch, and we are obsessed with changing the colors! The kids think it’s the best to change them too.
The Wiz app, which I’ll show at the bottom of this post, is so fun. You can change the temperature of your white, have it flash red and green for Christmas, add a green tint for St. Patrick’s day, set a colorful flashing light for birthday parties, and more! You can even schedule them to come on an off at certain times if you want.
Once you sync the lightbulbs to the Wiz app, the fun begins. This is what the app looks like:
And although we chose to put ours outside, you could definitely use these lightbulbs indoors if you want! We cannot wait to use the party setting. It blinks red, yellow, green, orange, purple, and blue.
If you are my neighbor, you can expect some colorful hues coming from our porch depending on the holiday season!
